His journey began with a strong academic foundation, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Hartwick College in Oneonta and a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. These academic achievements prepared him for a multidisciplinary path grounded in strategic thinking, legal understanding, and operational leadership.

After completing law school, he entered the legal field, practicing with several respected firms in New York City and White Plains. He rose to partner level at two firms, focusing primarily on aviation law and ski area liability. He worked on major airline disaster cases, handling reinsurance and regulatory issues related to these incidents.
Outside of law, Glenn B Allyn was deeply involved in the ski industry, combining his interest in athletics with coaching and instruction. He worked with youth ski racers between the ages of 12 and 15, training them in disciplines such as slalom and giant slalom. As a J3/J4 coach, he emphasized safety, technical development, and competitive preparation.
